Hi everybody, Thursday here! The only day that can boss the pressure of being interesting on a weekly basis.
This week I’ve got loads of awesome photography, tasty skateboards, fantastic video work and some mind-blowing music to boot.
Dig in.
I’m kicking off with these beautiful, intimate pictures belonging to French photographer, Alain Laboile. The album, entitled La Famille, documents the idyllic, adventure-filled childhood of his young family in rural France.
They make me a touch emotional, which is awesome, right? No training, he shoots from the heart. He’s my photography hero. Hear him talk about his work here.
Skateboards made entirely out of waste, by artist and director Mac Premo in collaboration with Sanford Shapes, who happen to make some of the tastiest skateboards around anyway.
It’s part of a project in which artists from around the world were asked to repurpose regular stuff to show how creativity can encourage people to live a greener lifestyle.
You can see all the other projects at dothegreenthing.com, including a turntable made entirely out of paper.
The boards are cool. The cause is brilliant. The film is EXCELLENT. Watch it here.

I found myself in the Brudenell at the weekend, on the receiving end of my first ‘Gomming’. It was unplanned, as the best things often are, and it was awesome.
Jon Gomm plays a guitar in ways I’ve never seen, check him out for yourself in this really nicely shot video. Jon Gomm Technical, as some people round these offices might say…
