Propaganda arranged for Philip Simpson, Commercial Director for client ReFood, to be on the panel at the latest Insider Business Breakfast. The business event, which was attended by the great and the good of the Yorkshire business community, looked at opportunities and challenges for the region, when looking to lead the energy economy.
One focus was on the supply chain, and it was clear that it wasn’t just the direct benefits that energy firms could offer, but the extensive wider opportunities available. A full write up on the event will be published in the July issue of Insider.
There was a sense at the event that there was a lot of very complicated terminology in the sector, which boiled down to some relatively simple science. One challenge is communicating this better to all stakeholders.
ReFood will be looking to meet this challenge, by holding an open day at its headquarters in Doncaster from Wednesday 17th to Friday 19th July. Visitors can learn about the anaerobic digestion process, and the work ReFood does to reduce commercial waste and produce energy. Other parts of the PDM business will also be showcasing their wares, including fish and chips for guests to enjoy, supplied by T-Quality and Nortech Foods.
